  • Why Isham Family Farm?

We offer an authentic farm experience! With the sweeping mountain views, vibrant flowers, and a giant wooden “LOVE” letters, there is no place more romantic than the Isham Family Farm. Wedding ceremonies can be held at the hilltop site with mountain views or waterside at our pond with the "LOVE" letters and beautiful fall foliage.

Built in the late 1700s, our main barn can host up to 250 people for receptions and has a convenient back room for vendors.  With our weekend exclusive wedding package, couples will have access to the farm and grounds from noon on Friday to noon on Sunday.

This unique venue paints a beautiful backdrop for the wedding of your dreams. There is so much to love, we do not even know where to begin! The timber-frame building is both rustic and grand, giving the entire space an inviting atmosphere. The romantic aesthetic of this barn is perfect for weddings of all styles! There are so many fun and creative things that you can do with this space, and we cannot wait to watch you transform this space into the venue of your dreams!

One of the best parts of finding an amazing venue is the amount of money that you can save on decorations. When you book a venue as gorgeous as the barn at Isham Family Farm, you hardly need any decorations at all because this space is so stunning all on its own. Decorations will only enhance the already beautiful space that you have reserved!

  • What to Look for in a Vermont Wedding Venue?

There are a lot of things to consider when you are searching for the wedding venue of your dreams! There are a lot of things that you may be looking for, and it is important to have a list of your priorities when going into the venue-searching process!

The first thing to consider when looking at a wedding venues is your total wedding budget. Most wedding planners recommend establishing a budget before you start shopping for venues to avoid getting your heart set on a venue outside of your budget. This can set unrealistic expectations for any venues that you may look at, making it hard to find a venue in your price range that you can be happy with.

One piece of advice that we give all of our brides is to not go into wedding planning with your heart set on a specific date. This has the potential to greatly limit your venue options. It is better to go in with a particular season in mind, or maybe a particular month. This will open up a lot more venue options.

You have your own unique style, and you want to find a venue that will  fit your vision best and not just a pretty place. Your chosen venue will set the tone for the rest of your wedding. It will affect the type of dress you buy, what flowers you choose to go with, and which decorations you pick.

If you are interested in having an outdoor wedding, we are the farm for you! It's important to make sure that the venue  you choose has a contengency plan for the weather. Our barn is the perfect "Plan B" in case of rain!

If you are going to have a lot of guests travelling in from out of town, you will want to make sure that there are lodging accommodations somewhere nearby. Many couples will choose to reserve a hotel block, but that is entirely up to you. There are several hotels just a few minutes away from the farm in Williston or 30 minutes away in the city of Burlington. You can also check out the Airbnbs in the area!

  • Why Choose a Family-Owned Farm?

The Isham Family has owned Isham Family Farm since 1871. That is five generations of Ishams who have managed the property. We are very proud of our family history, and we love that we have the opportunity to share our beloved farm with you! If you would like to learn more about our rich and unique family history, as well as the story of our farm, we encourage you to check out "The Farm" section of our website!

One part of sharing our special property with you is by making the space available for wedding ceremonies and receptions! Our beautiful property is amazing for these special events, and we love that our land has been the canvas for so many beautiful ceremonies and receptions. We have had so many family members get married here at the farm and we want you to feel apart of our family!

When we book weddings, we block the whole weekend off for you. We are all about creating memories here, and we do not want the special memories of your wedding day to be clouded by the stress of rushing trying to decorate your space the morning of your wedding or the stress of cleaning everything up the night of. You have Friday to decorate and have a rehearsal, as well as Sunday to tear down your decor.

  • We Will Lend a Helping Hand

After the chaos of wedding rescheduling after the events of 2020, finding available wedding venues in Vermont can be quite tricky. Here at Isham Family Farm, we have two beautiful outdoor spaces, as well as a chic and rustic barn that would be perfect for your event! We host weddings in the months of June, July, August, September, and October, so if you are looking to book your wedding in one of these months, we would love for you to reach out and give us a call!

We understand that wedding planning can be very stressful and we want you to enjoy your wedding day! That is why we make this a weekend-long event. While some venues will try to squeeze as many as four or five weddings into one weekend, we block out the entire weekend just for you.

At the farm, you have access to the barn and grounds starting at 12 noon on Friday for set up, decorations, and rehearsal time. Additionally, we give you the space on Sunday morning so that you do not have to worry about cleanup on Saturday night.

Our family works hard to create the perfect atmosphere for you here at the farm. We know that you want your big day to feel special, magical, and romantic.
