The park was established in 1968 and is located on Mud Pond Road, with easy access to nearby Interstate 89. The area consists of a five-acre pond, rolling meadows, open fields, and deep woods with an elevation that varies from 700 to 1150 feet above sea level. It is part of the Lamoille Valley of Vermont and offers some of the best views of the Green Mountains. A variety of campgrounds is available onsite, from basic campsites with easy access to the pond to RV sites with full hookups. The park also has a picnic pavilion and a large playground for kids. There is something for everyone to enjoy here. Mud Pond is a great fishing destination as well. It is home to bass, pickerel, trout, crappie, sunfish, and carp. For the more adventurous angler, the pond also provides excellent catch and release opportunities for trophy bass. Boaters will be pleased to know that there is a launching ramp for their convenience. The park’s 5-mile trail system will take you through the lush forests, over rolling meadows, and around the pond.
